Ever since he was young, Aaron has always had a fascination with cameras. There was something about capturing the world around in a genuine and truthful way spoke to him.
He began working in the film industry in 2011 for a small production house doing everything from editing corporate testimonials to working grip/lighting for UFC to shooting live sports broadcasts. As the company grew, Aaron grew with it - telling the stories they wanted to tell. With 72 hour film festival projects and start-up promos under his belt, his departure from the production house was a natural step towards honing his position in his filmmaking career.
Aaron has also served as an assistant drone operator for the Crossfit Games from 2015-2017. Some of his responsibilities included planning and executing the setup of a live aerial feed to be used during the broadcast. He also operated the camera and coordinated with the pilot to provide live broadcast coverage for ESPN and cinematic footage for an annual documentary series on the Crossfit Games.
He has also worked as a commercial and news promo producer at ABC/FOX. Today he works as an in-house editor and cinematographer for Portland-based company, Video Narrative.
As a passion project, Aaron has created a web series that produces staged live performances with musicians in unique locations. The goal of this series is to capture the emotional performances you would experience at a show, without compromising sound quality.
In his free time, you can find Aaron exploring Oregon with his significant other Chandler, and their two dogs - Goose and Wilder.
